Yankee Stadium Legacy: #16 Joe DiMaggio

Joe DiMaggio was one of the games all time greats beginning his New York Yankees career in 1936. The 21 year old from Martinez, California wasted no time showing his talent hitting .323 with 125 RBI and 132 runs scored as a rookie, unheard of. Three short years later DiMaggio won his first of three American League MVP Awards while in pinstripes. What could have been had he not missed all those years to the World War.

16 days until Yankees Opening Day.
