Yankees Close To Deal For Alfonso Soriano

The punch less Yankees offense may get a little jolt today as we are reportedly close to a deal to acquire Cubs left fielder and former Yankee Alfonso Soriano. The Cubs will reportedly pay the bulk of Soriano's remaining salary for this season and next. The Yankees also expect to pay him all of his money this season and none next season much like they did with Vernon Wells. The Cubs are treating this as a salary dump and are only expected to receive a mid level prospect in return. Mid level prospect better not mean JR Murphy that is all I know but anyway it could happen any minute now so let me be the first to welcome Alfonso Soriano back to the Bronx.
