The Yankees are off today, so enjoy this walk-up music recommendation from the team. Every time DJ LeMahieu walks up to the plate inside Yankee Stadium the song "Ready" by Wide Awake blares through the speakers in the Bronx. Now it can also blare through your speakers this morning. Enjoy.

Yankees Off Day Walk-Up Music Recommendation: DJ LeMahieu
The Yankees are off today, so enjoy this walk-up music recommendation from the team. Every time DJ LeMahieu walks up to the plate inside Yankee Stadium the song "Ready" by Wide Awake blares through the speakers in the Bronx. Now it can also blare through your speakers this morning. Enjoy.

OFF DAY Walk-Up Music Recommendation
Off day! Much needed and well-deserved if you ask me for the
boys in pinstripes. This gives the left arm of Aroldis Chapman a day to rest,
the groin of Gary Sanchez a day to heal, and the bat of Gleyber Torres to cool
down before it literally catches fire. The MLB schedule makers, with the help
of Mother Nature, were not kind to the Yankees in June so a day to rest and
prepare before the Red Sox come to town is likely just what the doctor ordered.
With the day off today let’s take a quick listen to the song
that plays inside those Yankee Stadium speakers every time one of my personal
favorite Yankees comes up to the plate, Greg Bird.
The name of the song is “20 Min” and the artist’s name is Lil
Uzi Vert. I have to admit I have never heard of this song or this artist, so
this will be a learning experience for me as well. Enjoy.

Yankees (Supposed to Be) Off Day Walk Up Music Recommendation
The New York Yankees were supposed to be off today as they travel to Texas
to take on the Texas Rangers so now seems like a good time to check in with an
old special that used to be run here on the blog, the off day walk up music
recommendation. Today I wanted to cover and showcase the music of Sonny Gray,
the newest Yankee, every time he takes the mound inside Yankee Stadium.
The name of the song is Stacy’s Mom by Fountains of Wayne.
Enjoy and I hope you enjoyed the off day, not many of these left this season.

Another Yankees Off Day…. Another Musical Recommendation
We spoke about this briefly the other day, well the last
time the Yankees had an off day actually, but I want to touch on it a little
more here today. The Chainsmokers finally released an album after countless
singles and a couple of EP’s (that I know about) and I have to say I am pretty
impressed with it. Is it going to win album of the year? Well I highly doubt
that to be honest but I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it my first
two-or-three times through so I wanted to share some of it here for you today.
If you’re new here and you’re wondering why we are talking
music on a Yankees-related blog it is because we usually go casual and talk
about whatever on off days. It is part of what makes us, us. We will bring you
the walk up music and entrance music for various players throughout the year on
off days, we will bring you baseball related movies and book recommendations
and pretty much anything we can think of to be different, unique and
entertaining.
That’s why you come in the first place, isn’t it? Enjoy the
off day and your Tuesday everybody.

The Yankees Final Off Day of 2016
The New York Yankees are off today. The next time we get to say that, barring a historic run of course, the 2016 regular season will be over and 10 teams (or possibly more I guess) will be awaiting their fates in the 2016 postseason. I had the Yankees making the postseason this year before this disastrous series with the Boston Red Sox but that's baseball sometimes. I'm not giving up, I'm just extremely discouraged and I can't see it logistically happening.
So with this final off day of the regular season we have the final off day music recommendation of the season. This is the last one, that's a lot of pressure. Who do I choose? My favorite player? The flavor of the week? How about just the song I like the most?
So with that in mind I went with an old song but a song that I truly love, the song that plays when Tyler Clippard enters a game inside Yankee Stadium. "Ready or Not" by the Fugees. Enjoy!

Yankee Stadium Walk Up Music Recommendation featuring Gary Sanchez
What do you get when you win consecutive MLB Player of the
Week Awards? I don’t know, that’s a question you will have to ask the Yankees
rookie catcher Gary Sanchez. I know what I do when the Yankees have an off day
and they also have a player that has won consecutive Player of the Week Awards
under their belt as a rookie, I recommend their walk up music every time they
take a Yankee Stadium at bat in hopes of hyping you up for your work day.
Every time the Kraken, or El Gary Sanchez as I like to call
him, steps up to the plate inside Yankee Stadium the song Unstoppable by Sia
blares through the speakers in the Bronx. If it’s not, it should be anyway. That
same song blares through your speakers, hopefully, today while we all enjoy
this Yankees off day.

Yankee Stadium Off Day Music Recommendation featuring Aaron Judge
Back in January someone asked Aaron Judge what he wanted his walk-up music to be if and when he reached the Major Leagues and he answered with something I don't think anyone before him has. He said he would use the intro music to the popular television show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Okay then, when you're that big and that good you can do whatever you want.
In the criminal justice system, sexually based offenses are considered especially heinous. In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories.

Yankees Off Day Walk Up Music Recommendation
The Yankees are off tonight as you may have guessed by all
the content here on the blog today and like we do on every off day here on the
blog we like to bring you a little something different. While some bloggers,
not naming any names whatsoever, enjoy the night off I just can’t do that for
whatever reason and I have to keep the content flowing. Today I bring you a
music recommendation from Yankee Stadium, the walk up music for Aaron Hicks.
I have been harder on Hicks than probably anyone has this
season and I am willing to eat a little crow and sit here with egg on my face
if and when he can turn things around and prove me wrong. He has come a long
way in doing that since the Carlos Beltran trade but I am a firm believer in
large sample sizes and FYI, three weeks is not a large sample size.
So here is Hicks walk up music. Get used to it because no
matter what the stat line says Joe Girardi is going to play him every single
day until the end of the season. The name of the song is “Fire” and the artist
is the Ohio Players. Enjoy.

Yankees Off Day Walk Up Music Recommendation for Greg Bird
The New York Yankees learned this weekend that Mark Teixeira would be calling it a career at the end of the 2016 MLB season. Many wondered if New York would bring Teixeira back on a cheap one-year deal or even offer him a qualifying offer after Greg Bird went down with a shoulder injury in spring training before the season but with that option now off the board I believe the Yankees are now all-in on Bird, whether they really want to be or not.
To be fair Bird has already resumed baseball activities including throwing, swinging a bat and such so he should be more than ready, or at the very least the Yankees should know one way or the other the status of that shoulder, by spring training 2017. Since the Yankees now presumably have to rely on him so heavily next season, and since we haven't talked much about him this season to be fair, I wanted to use this off day as an opportunity to look ahead a bit and listen to the music we will hear every time the lefty steps up to the plate inside Yankee Stadium next season.
When Bird steps to the plate inside Yankee Stadium the song "Right Above It" by Lil Wayne can be heard blaring through the speakers in the Bronx... and that same song can be heard blaring through your speakers now on this off day. Enjoy.

Weekend Finale Open Thread
For this weekend finale open thread I just have one question for anyone and everyone reading this? Why does the typical work week seem to just drag and drag and drag while you can nod off for a second or stop to breathe on the weekend and it's over? Something seems wrong about that, maybe it's a conspiracy theory. Does the universal timer get put on 2X speed during the weekend and 0.5X throughout the week? I need to speak to someone on this and if the blog goes quiet you know I asked the wrong person the wrong question in the wrong position. President Obama I'm looking at you when I say this.
I am kidding obviously, well hopefully, but seriously this weekend has once again flown by and now it's over. Here is a weekend finale open thread for you guys and girls. I hope you had as awesome of a weekend as I did with my family and children. See you back at it tomorrow bright and early. Good night Yankees family!

Yankee Stadium Off Day Music Recommendation
The New York Yankees are off again today as they leave the Great Lakes area to come back home to the Bronx, New York and Yankee Stadium. As we like to do with every off day we will bring you an off day music recommendation with a twist to keep you busy on this Yankees off day. In years past we have gone with some of the better known Yankees but today we will go with a lesser known Yankee, lesser known because he is the newest Yankee. Ike Davis.
Every time Ike Davis steps up to the plate at Yankee Stadium the song "Start Me Up" is heard blaring from the Yankee Stadium speakers. Can't go wrong with the Rolling Stones, can you?

Yankee Stadium Off Day Walk Up Music Recommendation
The New York Yankees just had a day off on Thursday before making the trip to Fenway Park over the weekend and they have another day off today before traveling to Oriole Park and Camden Yards for another big three game set. With every off day I kind of take a step back from the year long, not season long like some other blogs, grind here and I like to have a little bit of fun. Sometimes we post full-length baseball movies on the blog so you actually have something to do at work besides work and sometimes we bring you the walk up music from our favorite Yankee stars. And then sometimes we bring you Chase Headley's walk up music.
I know I've been especially hard on Headley thus far this season but that's only because I expected more and because I'm frustrated. It's nothing personal really, I actually kind of like the guy from what I see during HOPE Week and interviews and such, but I let my passion and my fandom get in the way sometimes. We're all guilty of it so I can't discriminate against him in these features so without further ado here is the song we hear right before Headley is going to strike out, or single, every time in Yankee Stadium.
The name of the song is "Surrender" and it's by the Christian band Third Day. Enjoy and pray for better days in Yankees-land.

Yankee Stadium Off Day Walk Up Music Recommendation
The New York Yankees are off today as they travel back to
the East Coast from Texas but unfortunately they aren’t headed home to the
Bronx and Yankee Stadium but are instead headed to Boston and Fenway Park. While
things would be better if the team were headed back to New York we can still
pretend like we are there with this Yankee Stadium off day walk up music
recommendation.
For the past couple of seasons now we have gone over and
showcased the walk up music for members of the New York Yankees when they walk
up to the plate or enter the game out of the bullpen and this year will be no
different. With today’s showcase we will focus on an integral part to the
Yankees success this far this season, the seemingly rejuvenated Carlos Beltran.
I don’t know if it’s the upbeat and fast tempo music he
walks up to if he’s found the fountain of youth but him and his knees have
looked great this far this season. It’s a great sign going forward for the
Yankees. Anyway, here is his walk up song Echa Pa'lla by Pitbull.
Enjoy and we’ll be back to all business tomorrow!

Yankees Off Day Walk Up Music featuring Aaron Hicks
For the past two seasons we have spent the off day still covering the New York Yankees, just in a different way. While many blogs and news outlets take the day off with the team unless a major roster move, injury or move is made but that's not us. With that in mind two seasons ago we began looking at certain things no other site does, like covering the walk up music for the current players every single off day. In years past we have gone with the top of the batting order and gone done or we've gone from 1-9 in the defensive spectrum (1 = pitcher, 2 = catcher and 3 = first baseman etc.) but I want to cover a new face in a new place this morning.
So today we bring you Aaron Hicks' walk up music we hear every time he comes to bat inside Yankee Stadium. The "Ohio Players" bring us the song "Fire." Enjoy.

Sunday Night Yankees Open Thread
The Yankees game is in the books and so is the weekend for some people, tomorrow is Labor Day for the rest of us and I think we all deserve the day off paid. Isn't that the point of Labor Day? You shouldn't have to serve me food in a restaurant or ring up my groceries in a Wal Mart, you should be at home with your family enjoying the day but I digress. The Yankees game is done and so am I for the evening.
I leave you with this music recommendation to end the weekend, the name of the song is Here to Mars and the artist is Coheed and Cambria. Enjoy and enjoy your evening.

Yankees Off Day Walk up Music Recommendation
The Yankees can't have too many more off days this season because we are just about out of walk up music recommendations for the team. When I go to the New York Yankees Ballpark Music page on Yankees.com I only see one more player or instance that we haven't used, and we will use that one today. Brendan Ryan, Mr. Mustache, walks up to the plate at Yankee Stadium every single night with the song "Breathe and Stop" by Q-Tip playing in the background.
Enjoy the song and enjoy the off day! We're back to work tomorrow night in the Bronx.

Yankees Off Day Walk Up Music Recommendation
The New York Yankees are off today for the first time in 16 days and will use the day off to make the couple hour trip south to face off against the Atlanta Braves. Every time the Yankees have had an off day this season we have brought you some sort of walk up music whether it be from the players or the normal music played inside Yankee Stadium and today will be no different. We have all but exhausted the Yankees offense and your 7th inning stretch traditions and such so today we move to the pitching. I found it interesting when I was looking that two different pitchers enter the game to the same music by good ole' Johnny Cash.
Both Nathan Eovaldi and closer Andrew Miller enter Yankee Stadium to Johnny Cash's classic "God's Gonna Cut You Down." That song is showcased above. Enjoy the song and enjoy the much needed off day Yankees family.

Yankees Off Day Walk Up Music Recommendation
The New York Yankees just finished off a six game homestand this week with a series victory over the Boston Red Sox before taking a step back or two against the Toronto Blue Jays. Now the Yankees are leaving the Bronx and the friendly confides of Yankee Stadium to make the trip to Cleveland to face off against the Cleveland Indians. No Yankees player will take an at bat either at home or on the road today so today would be a good day to bring you some more walk up music from inside Yankee Stadium.
We're actually running out of players to showcase on these posts, a big thank you goes out to Brian Cashman for not really acquiring anyone and making my life harder, so instead we'll take a look at some of the music staples inside Yankee Stadium.
Like Kate Smith's rendition of "God Bless America" that is played during the 7th inning stretch.
Or "YMCA" by the Village People that is played before the Top of the 7th.
And finally there is "New York, New York" after every Yankees win. Cue Sinatra!

Yankees Off Day Walk Up Music Recommendation
Believe it or not we're running out of walk up music to check in on so it is probably a good thing that the New York Yankees acquired Dustin Ackley at the trading deadline. It is also a good thing that we already checked the walk up music of Garrett Jones before he was designated for assignment to make room for Ackley. Either way Ackley is a member of the Yankees for the remainder of the 2015 season and will also be a part of the team presumably for the 2016 season in his final season of arbitration eligibility.
Every time Ackley walks up to the plate inside Yankee Stadium, with his first time happening sometime this week when the team plays host to the Boston Red Sox, one of his two walk up songs will be blaring in the Bronx.
The first song is "Bad Moon Rising" by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
The second song Ackley walks up to is "Fortunate Son" by CCR. Enjoy.

Yankees Off Day Walk Up Music Recommendation
With every Yankees off day this season we have been looking at the walk up music for every Yankees offensive player and today is no different. While looking through the list of Yankees offensive players it looks like we're running low on players. Garrett Jones is one of those players left on this roster and with Jones you get a four for one special. It seems like Jones uses a different song every time he comes up to the plate so his diversity is your gain this morning. Enjoy.
Pearl Jam - Animals
James Alan Johnston - Unstable
Metallica - Whiskey in the Jar
