Go Yankees!!

David Phelps To Start Tuesday In Place Of Nova

The Yankees have announced that David Phelps, not Ivan Nova, will start on Tuesday against the Boston Red Sox. No one can argue with this way of thinking as Ivan Nova has done nothing but struggle for what seems like forever. These are big games that we need to win and David gives us the best shot at that right now.

The Final Three

Here are the three guys that are going to end this nightmare for the Yankees...

CC Sabathia will face Clay Buchholz tonight in the first game of the final series of the season. Tomorrow night Ivan Nova will face Jon Lester in game 2, and then it will be Hiroki Kuroda against fellow NPB alumni Daisuke Matsuzaka in game 3.

This Day In Yankees History 10/1/12

In 1961 Roger Maris hit his 61st home run of the season breaking Babe Ruth's single season home run record.

In 1995 The Yankees, along with the Rockies, becomes the first ever Wild Card teams in Major League Baseball.

Welcome Back Mark Teixiera...We Hope

Word has been that Mark Teixeira will rejoin the Yankees for the first time in almost a month since he re-injured his calf in the Jerry Meals blown Baltimore Orioles game. He missed a little over two weeks prior to that one game comeback so this has been a nagging injury. Mark has been running down in the instructional league as well as taking ground balls and at bats and has not reported any stiffness, soreness, discomfort, or anything that we should be concerned about. He has not been officially activated today but he is expected to so let me be the first to welcome you back Mark, because we really need you!!
