Pork Roll Paradise will offer the most comprehensive pork roll menu in 2016 including the Oink, Cluck and Moo (top left), the Thunder Dog (top right), the Pig Pen (bottom left) and the Hog Steak (bottom right).

The 2016 season is just six days away and your Thunder are proud to announce several additions to the family-friendly experience at ARM & HAMMER Park.

"We had such great feedback from our fans about the pork roll offerings at the Trenton Thunder World Famous Case's Pork Roll Eating Championship in September that we had to find a way to bring these great items to our fans for every game this season," said Thunder GM/COO Jeff Hurley.

Pork Roll Paradise, presented by Case's Pork Roll, will offer the widest range of pork roll items in the state of New Jersey. The stand will be part of the first base concession stand and offer the classic Thunder Dog: 1/5 lb hot dog, 1/4 lb of pork roll and two slices of American Cheese on a torpedo roll. The Oink, Cluck and Moo, the classic New Jersey breakfast favorite, pork roll, egg, and cheese on a kaiser roll. The Swine Sandwich, a pork fans' dream containing two slices of pork roll, pulled pork, and bacon bits on a kaiser roll. The Pig Pen lays chopped pork roll, pulled pork, and bacon bits on top of a bed of mashed potatoes. The Thunder will also offer their take on the Philadelphia cheesesteak with The Hog Steak at games in 2016. Chopped pork roll with bacon cheddar cheese sauce on a torpedo roll will give fans the classic pork roll cheesesteak. Pork Roll Paradise will also serve fountain drinks, Bud Light, Goose Island, and a variety of canned beers available only at that stand.

In addition to Pork Roll Paradise, the food options at ARM & HAMMER Park will now feature two soft serve concession stands one each at the end of the 1st and 3rd base concourse.

Thunder fans will be swept away by the aromas of the brand new Nuts For You stand located on the first base concourse past the Waterfront Grill. Nuts For You will serve cinnamon roasted almonds, cashews and pecans in small and large sizes.

The most kid-friendly improvement is the brand new Family Fun Zone located on the first base side of the stadium. New inflatable games, decorative lights, a giant four-in-a-row, and on select nights balloon twisters and face painters will be outside the Family Fun Zone. Fans will notice the addition of a brand new speed pitch on the third base side of the ballpark behind Fitch's Place. Fans will also enjoy the addition of a brand new Plinko board, presented by Kennedy's Cheesecakes, on the main concourse to earn great prizes at every Thunder game.

The transformation of the luxury suite level at ARM & HAMMER Park began this off-season. A number of suites received new furniture, flooring, and new televisions.

New merchandise will be available at the Thunder Company Store in 2016. A brand new selection of Men's, Women's, and Children's products from Under Armour, Columbia Sportswear, 5th and Ocean apparel. New hats from 47 Brand and New Era as well as a wide selection of Thunder and Yankees novelty items are available for sale this season. All Thunder merchandise can be found by clicking here.

The 2016 season, the 23rd in franchise history, will begin at ARM & HAMMER Park on Thursday, April 7 at 7:00 pm against the Erie Seawolves (Detroit Tigers). Tickets are available by phone at 609-394-3300 or online at www.TrentonThunder.com.

Breaking: Yankees Trade Rob Refsnyder to Chicago for David Robertson

Breaking news out of Yankees camp, the Greedy Pinstripes and Ninja Cashman have done it again. According to sources the Yankees have traded second baseman Robert Refsnyder to the Chicago White Sox for their closer and former Yankee David Robertson. This comes just days after the news that Andrew Miller took a line drive off his right wrist and has a chip fracture. This is not Miller’s throwing wrist but with Aroldis Chapman already out of commission for the first 30 days New York obviously felt the need to have another closer and relief pitcher in the arsenal.

Doubt me if you will but I had the Curtis Granderson to the New York Mets story before Joel Sherman did, although we never got the credit for it, and we also had the Mike Leake to the St. Louis Cardinals story before anyone, and no we didn’t get the credit for that one either. We won’t get the credit for this one either and that’s okay, April Fool’s Day and all. No really, April Fools.

More news to come as it breaks.

The USA Today Predicts the 2016 Season!

The USA Today is a publication that I respect and a publication that I find myself reading almost every single day. They do a great job of covering all bases, pun intended, in the sport and even do fun little things like weekly Power Rankings and posts like we bring you today. In this post we will showcase the USA Today’s predictions for the major awards, the MLB standings and the 2016 World Series. If you’re looking for Yankee-related material here… move alone… spoiler alert.

Ballpark Food at THE Yankee Stadium

We have gone over a few new additions around the league in the ballpark food category and we have saved possibly the best for last, Yankee Stadium. Yankee Stadium, like many other ballparks, have chef’s at hand at all times during the season and these talented chefs have come up with some interesting new eateries for us all to enjoy this season.

It begins and ends with the two-foot-long cheesesteak that will set you back about $27. The steak is topped with white American cheese or Cheez Whiz and served on a fresh-baked hoagie roll. How long before there is some contest where the thing is free if someone can eat it all in under 20 minutes? I’d be down to try it.

If that or the play on the field isn’t enough to give you a heart attack then the Barnyard Wedding will which is basically a chicken sandwich with cheddar cheese and hash browns. Oh and all of that is on top of a hamburger patty. Yeah. They went there.

I may want to try a G.O.A.T burger which is a bacon cheeseburger with pastrami but I believe the “Double-Double” which is a double cheeseburger with a pair of grilled cheese sandwiches as buns may be a bit overboard.

Give me a French onion grilled cheese sandwich and I’m happy, I’m just saying.

This Day in New York Yankees History 4/4: Happy Opening Day 2016

Happy Opening Day 2016 Yankees family. Good luck to the boys and Masahiro Tanaka today as they begin their 2016 campaign against Dallas Keuchel and the Houston Astros. Now on to the history of the day!

On this day in 1994 a total of 56,706 fans flocked to Opening Day at Yankee Stadium, the largest crowd ever at the House that Ruth Built. Jimmy Key would beat Kevin Brown and the Texas Rangers 5-3 in front of the record breaking crowd.

Also on this day in 1989 Tommy John tied a record on Opening Day by playing in his 26th season. The New York Yankees veteran would beat the Twins 4-2 on this day for his 287th win, putting him 19th overall at the time in career wins.
