Robinson Cano has confirmed that he will be playing for the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic.
Robbie played for the Dominicans in the 2009 Classic, but didn't wow anybody hitting .231/.286/.231 in their 3 games. The Dominican Republic went 1-2 in the first round and were ousted from the tournament, so I'm sure Cano and the rest of the team hope for a better showing this time around.
