Brian Wilson would really help out the Yankees bullpen in 2014 and beyond but if you had any ideas of that happening you can put them to rest as Wilson himself killed any chances of that happening. Wilson said, via his agent of course, he would not shave his beard and would not sign with the Yankees for that reason. Really? The beard is what keeps you from coming to New York? First David Price and now Wilson? I smell a trend...

Freese is limited a defender, with a lengthy injury history.
Reynolds may be limited also, but he is not injury prone. Reynolds can play first base.
Reynolds wants to be a Yankee, and has RH power...21 HR. He killed the Yankees as an Oriole.
If Alex is sent to Rikers Island....give it to Reynolds, and someone like Eric Chavez.
I don't see either Reynolds or Freese as a huge upgrade over the other unless 2013 was an anomaly. Freese can be better offensively then Reynolds if last season was just a fluke so maybe they are hoping for lightning in a bottle and the whole change of scenery thing to happen.
