Yankees Assign New Numbers To New Players

The Yankees wasted no time giving away Robinson Cano's old number, and not to someone who has exactly earned it either. Brian Roberts was given the #14, Scott Sizemore was given Cano's #24, Kelly Johnson will wear #33, and Matt Thornton will wear #48. Just as a reminder Carlos Beltran will wear #35, Brian McCann will wear #34, Jacoby Ellsbury will wear #22, and Masahiro Tanaka will wear #19.

  2. Early reports, and you can not be any earlier....is that Michael Pinada looks great.
Cervellii has caught him, and says the difference with Pinada....is night, and day.

****Anyone know about this one....I thought I read/ heard that Jesus Montero has balloned up.
Put on a lot of extra poundage.

  3. DEAN OF SWING.....Dean Anna. He is my choice as the surprise player ( non-pitcher ) of this
spring training. All I know is what I read, and of videos watched.
This left handed batter, obtained this winter, could be the good fortune this Yankee team needs.

" Dean Anna, recently acclaimed as "the most underrated player in all of professional baseball", is an ultra-utility player and line drive hitter that makes great contact on the ball......."

I'll take that as a starting point.

    1. Patrick...
Thank you for joining the growing ground swell of Dean fans! I and a couple more think he may be able to take over at any position and do a very good job, maybe better than good.
Until we get to see him and how he moves etc., we won't know for sure.
This is beginning to be very intriguing to say the lest, didn't we go through all this with Brett a few years ago?

To wish him well, and to let him know that he has a fan base, here at The Greedy Pinstripes.
I ended by inviting him to stop by.

    2. Hay guys, don't you know it is not nice to tease a Junkyard Dog!
I am finally done with the project and back in real life again, I also hung out a sign telling them, "Don't call me, I'll call you"!
The brass, read my programs (not computer programs), and said I was unreasonable because I didn't understand the modern person. I asked them; ".............." well, I will leave that to you guys!
Good morning to you all, I need some sleep!

    4. Why thank you, Oh Great Leader!
People have no idea how political it can be dealing with a bunch of over the hill, never were out there more than once, were very good in the office being PC...and gaining a lot of weight!
But, it is done until, next time...not in this life time!

    5. I wouldn't know, I try to be as unpolitical as I can.

    6. I can understand that Daniel...there are fans with different political views on this site as with most sites. Sometimes one has to take the good with the bad...as the owner or commander, one has to subjugate ones own views.
I am free to do and say anything, well at lest until Mr. "O" makes being a conservatist Federal crime!
