Thunder Spring Training Games Begin Friday
The 2015 Thunder roster will begin to take shape this week as New York Yankees Minor Leaguers have reported to Spring Training in Tampa, Florida. The first Spring Training game for the Thunder will take place on Friday, March 20 against the Altoona Curve, the Double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

It was previously announced that Al Pedrique will manage the Thunder in 2015, his third season as a member of the Yankees minor league coaching staff. He will be joined in the dugout by former Thunder catcher PJ Pilittere (Hitting Coach), Jose Rosado (Pitching Coach) and Michel Hernandez (Defensive Coach). Each member of the 2015 coaching staff enters his first season as a coach in the Eastern League. Strength & Conditioning Coach Orlando Crance returns for a third season with the Thunder and Lee Meyer also returns for his second season as Athletic Trainer.
The Thunder open the 2015 campaign at Erie (Detroit Tigers) on Thursday, April 9 at 6:35 pm. Opening night at ARM & HAMMER Park will be on Thursday, April 16 at 7:00 pm when the Thunder host the New Hampshire Fisher Cats to begin a seven-game homestand.
