Eduardo Nunez is still feeling a ton of pain after being hit by a pitch in the bicep but says he is feeling better. He still cannot hit, not even in the cage, or play catch so he seems like he will at least miss the series in Detroit before he comes back. Better than the alternative I guess which was originally thought to be a broken or fractured arm a la Curtis Granderson.
Derek Jeter took 40 ground balls hit directly at him today down in Tampa and played some catch. Derek also hit some balls off of a tee to try and keep him in shape. Derek has not done any real baseball activities in almost two weeks now so who knows when Derek will be back with the Yankees.
