Mark Teixeira was hoping to be cleared to start swinging a bat yesterday when he saw team doctors but the doctors have decided that it is still too early. The doctor was very happy with how it looked and how it felt but wanted it to be a little stronger before risking swinging a bat just yet. Mark is still looking at returning to the Yankees lineup in mid to late May rather than his May 1st date that was optimistic to say the least.

Teixeira Not Cleared To Swing A Bat Friday
Mark Teixeira was hoping to be cleared to start swinging a bat yesterday when he saw team doctors but the doctors have decided that it is still too early. The doctor was very happy with how it looked and how it felt but wanted it to be a little stronger before risking swinging a bat just yet. Mark is still looking at returning to the Yankees lineup in mid to late May rather than his May 1st date that was optimistic to say the least.
