Yankees Non Tender Nix, David Adams, & Matt Daley

The New York Yankees have announced that they will not tender a contract to utility player Jayson Nix, infielder David Adams, and pitcher Matt Daley. Nix was in line to make $1.4 million through arbitration as the others were going to make right around the league minimum so the money was not the issue as much as the roster spots were. I would expect the Yankees to try and work out minor league deals with all three of these guys before long to have them back in the fold for 2014. This drops the 40 man roster to 36 players and one of those open spots is for Brian McCann so is this a sign of whats to come? I hope so.
