Happy Jackie Robinson Day

On this day in 1947 Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball and became the first black player to play in the Major Leagues when he started for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Ever since this day in 2004 Major League Baseball has named this day Jackie Robinson Day to remember this historic day in baseball history. Every play in the majors will wear his retired #42 to remember the 1962 class Hall of Famer. Happy Jackie Robinson Day everybody and let's remember what the day really means and all that he fought, and didn't fight, for.
