Not that I needed any more confirmation that the Yankees have been cursed for the last three seasons or so with the injury bug but this one takes the cake. This one beats out Nick Johnson getting hurt in the whirlpool and may even rank up there with the entire Yankees career of Carl Pavano, okay maybe that was going too far. We learned yesterday that Travis Hafner was day to day with a foot contusion and today we learned why. Travis Hafner was hit with a ball in the foot by a pitching machine while hitting in the cage last night. Really?? How does that happen? A curse, that's how so remember that you heard it here first.
