For all those New York Yankees fans that were hoping and thinking that they would activate Derek Jeter this weekend since Jayson Nix went down with a season ending hand injury prepare to be disappointed. The Yankees have announced that Jeter will play in a rehab game tonight and will play in another one tomorrow before the Yankees even consider activating their 39 year old short stop. Monday in Toronto seems like more of a likely date for the Jeter activation but with Eduardo Nunez and his hamstring not at 100% the Yankees hand may be forced at this point. Let's hope he is really healthy this time around and can stay on the field for more than a week.
