Tanaka To Make His Spring Debut On Saturday

Masahiro Tanaka will make his spring debut in a real game this Saturday but will not be starting that game against the Phillies. CC Sabathia will start the game and will be followed by Hiroki Kuroda and Tanaka in the game this weekend. All three pitchers are expected to go two innings or 35 pitches, whichever comes first.

After Saturday those three pitchers will obviously be separated. The Yankees want to give Tanaka extra rest so expect him to see a few more days off than Sabathia and Kuroda. Either way our shiny new toy will be on display soon, even if it is just an exhibition game.
