Andrew Miller has been traded to the Cleveland Indians.
It's being said that the Yankees will get back center fielder Clint Frazier and left-handed pitcher Justus Sheffield, plus two others.
Initially I wasn't blown away by this news, but I'll give it a little while longer to sink in before reacting. But wow... the Yankees look like they are indeed selling.
Edit: The other two players coming from the Indians are relievers Ben Heller and JP Feyereisen.
Agree,bryan."expecting 3x the Chapman return " just wasn't realistic.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe he was moved before Beltran! I believe they will go high $ to land closer in off season, so hey.
I'm immediately rooting for Cleveland if they make playoffs.
Aroldis Chapman or Kenley Jansen is as close to a lock to be signed in offseason as we've seen.
DeleteI love Miller, he has been lights out for us and is a good guy in the clubhouse. I am a minority of one saying good go Cashman!
ReplyDeleteThose we got in return are good players, again...maybe not superstars but then again, who knows. We have had a few guys that had been rated as good players that became icons for the Yankees...try Mo, Jeter, Munson, Mattingly, Bernie Williams and Pettitte. None of them were considered as star type players, but they showed what they were made of once given a REAL CHANCE!
