Ivan Nova is scheduled to start in place of Freddy Garcia in his next scheduled start against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday. Nova was not exactly in the discussion for the CY Young award before he went on the DL but he has to give us a better chance to win then Freddy does. Hopefully this time off has healed the shoulder and gotten his head and mechanics right so we can right this ship.
I'm not sure where my head has been at, but I didn't realize Freddy's ERA as a starter this year was 5.93. That's horrible.
