Game 136 Lineup: Orioles vs. Yankees (Plus September Call-Ups)

Yankees go for the series sweep vs. the Orioles today (and there are some September Call-Ups)! Here is your starting lineup!

(Preston Claiborne will be another call-up but the season for the Tampa Yankees finishes on Monday, so he could either come back tomorrow or most likely Tuesday).

  1. Today was a tough loss. Anytime you are up by 3 with 9 outs to go, you have to win. They can't afford to blow games like this if they want to catch TB/OAK. I guess the pen had to come back to Earth because they've been excellent all year. Can't really blame Girardi for the moves on the 7th although in such a big game, I would have liked to see Robertson in there at some point. Girardi needs to be managing like these are playoff games and putting Joba in such an important spot is not wise. Also would be nice to have Claiborne as an option but they keep sending him down instead of less effective players.

    Jeter is not looking good at the plate since his latest return from injury and they need to play Nunez more until Jeter gets his timing (if he does this late in the yr). Also, Vernon Wells is shot, don't need to be playing him in these big games.
