The yankees are losing 4-1. Do they have enough pitching to make the wild card? I hope so. This is the longest seaon I can remember. I have been a yankee fan for 16 years. Joe Girardi should be a mvp. He is that good.
Yeah, Jimmy, even Dan has to admit , with the turkeys Joe had to use the first half of the season ...for them to only be 2/3 games out of the playoffs is a miracle. CC has sucked, Hughes has sucked, Joba has sucked.....David Phelps sucked.
And the hitting was atrocious. Lilibridge? Luis Cruz? Adams? Romine? Gonzalez? Embarassing.
Even Stewart, Wells and Hafner ...who all started well ......eventually we're awful hitters.
How they have been able to stay afloat is beyond me.
Some pluses ..... Garder has had an excellent season with many timely clutch hits.
Cano has been streaky but when he is on he has carried the team.
Overlay has been good with the bat and glove,
Soriano has been a Godsend. Aroid and Grandy have added some length to the lineup.
Kuroda, Petitte and Nova have carried the starting pitching and Robertson and Mo (until lately) have been fabulous.
Go Girardi! Kick Bucky's ass.
