Yankees beat up Giants for second straight day, 6-0

Ivan Nova gave up just 6 hits today through a full nine innings of work as the Yankees easily beat the Giants, 6-0. As you may have imagined, Nova got the win in this one, improving his record to 9-5. This victory also clinches the Bombers 21st consecutive winning season, as their record on the year is now a solid, 82-73.

The Pinstripes six runs today came on an RBI Sac Fly from Ichiro, an RBI Groundout from A-Rod, an RBI Single from Cano, a two-run homer from Nunez (his second on the year), and a solo homer from Soriano(his 34th of the year). Unfortunately, the Rays also won this afternoon, so the Yankees are still three games out of the wild card.
