Whether you agree with it or not Masahiro Tanaka is considered a rookie this season and is eligible for the Rookie of the Year Award for the American League. With that being said Matt Eddy of Baseball America has released their Top Rookies of 2014 list and Tanaka is ranked second behind, you probably didn't guess it, the Boston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts. I really expected to see Oscar Tavares of the St. Louis Cardinals here to be honest, a real shocker to me.
