Yankee Stadium Legacy: #17 Joe Gordon

The Yankees success in the 1930's carried over into the 1940's as the Yanks were stocked with All Star caliber players at almost every position on the field. Joe Gordon earned six trips to the Major League Baseball All Star Game while with the Yankees and even started the game at second base in 1939, 1940, and 1942. Gordon also had a two run double in the 1946 All Star game as the American League won the game 12-0.

17 days until Yankees Opening Day
