Matt Daley Called Up, Cesar Cabral Designated For Assignment

In order to make room for Matt Daley, who was recently called up from Scranton, the Yankees have designated for assignment Cesar Cabral.

Cesar only made four appearances for the Yankees this season. Cabral was only able to get one out, while allowing a hit and a walk, in his first appearance. His second time out was very nice, as he struck out two the only two batters he faced. In Cesar's third appearance he walked the only batter he saw. And finally he imploded, giving up three runs on three hits and three hit by pitches.

Being a young lefthander, I can see somebody giving Cabral a shot. But since he's thrown less than five innings in MLB, and wasn't the most successful pitcher in the minors, my bet is that he's in the Yankees' minor league system by season's end.

  1. TRULY, A FINE my day !!
The second coming of Grant Balfour, my hope from 2013...and local boy....Matt Daley, is now
brought up to replace the batting practice pitcher, Cesar Cabral.
Daley, along with his swagger, will fit in nicely. He now has his chance.

Joel Hanrahan...starts to take offers, and negotiate...after a powerful audition. Fingers crossed.

  2. I really don't like hearing this. Not that I have a problem with Daley, I like Daley, but I like Cabral too....

  3. Daniel....would you like to play pretend ?
Like the Yankee coaches were only playing a joke on Cesar. And that Daily was just traded to
the Rays, for Grant Balfour ?

  4. Daniel...take this tonic, and get some rest. You will feel better.

    patrick's Tonic for non-pretenders :
" Matt Daley was called up from Triple-A Scranton as the corresponding move. The Queens native had 13 strikeouts in five innings for the RailRiders."

    Feeling better ?

  5. No because after Nuno goes down to make room for drob we will only have one left handed pitcher

Sorry for the Capatcha... Blame the Russians :)
