Game Thread: Yankees vs. Rays 6/30


Welcome to tonight's open thread, it's game time ladies and gentleman. The New York Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays will play on this last day of June tonight at Yankee Stadium in the first of a three game set in the Bronx. The Yankees will send David Phelps to the mound to face off with Chris Archer for the Rays. The game will be played at 7:05 pm ET and can be seen on the YES Network, ESPN, MLB TV, and can be heard on the radio with WFAN.

  1. I CAN NOT HAMMER ANY LONGER....what is the point. Spitting against the wind.

    These games thrown under the bus, could have been victories if the team had a batting force.
    A masher, a threat, someone who makes you stop and watch, when he steps up.
    The simplimatic missing piece.
    If obtained...this line-up changes.....big time.
    Hypothetical....put an David Ortiz, in the middle of this line-up. Changes everything.

    A guy that can scare the hell out of the other team. And, it's manager.
    The others on the roster will respond to a player like this. They always do.
    Our team is vanilla, and it is flat lining. The team scares no one, other than those that watch them.

    Gentleman....when do the winter meetings start ?

    1. I agree, the big bat is needed right now. Takes the pressure off McCann, Beltran, Teix, Ellsbury, etc.
