9/9 Yankees Open Thread vs. Tampa Bay Rays

Welcome to tonight’s open thread for the game between the New York Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays. New York continues to scrap and claw towards the playoffs while the Rays look to be the spoilers tonight in New York. The Yankees will send Hiroki Kuroda to the mound to face off with the Rays Chris Archer, a notorious Yankee killer. The game will be played at 7:05 pm ET and can be seen on the MY9, MLB TV, and can be heard on the radio with WFAN.

Remember to grab your tickets for the Yankees games this week right here on the blog, you won’t find them cheaper anywhere else. Also be sure to follow us on Twitter by following @GreedyStripes and check out our page on Facebook by searching for The Greedy Pinstripes.

It’s an open thread so let’s use lots of made up words in the comments section like conversate. Enjoy the game Yankees family and enjoy the rest of your evening. Go Yankees!

  1. Me thinks someone is getting carried away with this Jeter stuff! My god, one would think this was the passing of the greatest player to ever play the game.
I am sorry but this is getting ridicules, all this for a singles hitter, that wasn't much on defense. Hell Cal Ripken Jr. was a much better SS and so was our 3rd baseman.
Jeter has been great for the Yankees, for 20 years on the offensive side of the ball, no doubt about it. But, all this junk is a little much, even for the Yankees...I can see the reason for it...from the owners stand point. More asses in the seats is more money in the checking account!

  2. Just curious if this is where you decided to put the Jeter comment or if this post made you want to post it. I only ask because Jeter wasn't mentioned once in this post lol.

I just don't get it,that's all, I have never seen such a shameless display of hype and showmanship all rolled into a year long display of BS in my life.
