  1. ATTN : Hans-some & Pretzel...
Win # 9 for the straight shooting......Revolver ! Nolan Ryan was right..."this cowboy is good!!!"

Refsnyder...A fine day today....I'm sure Ken & Daniel are smiling.
Let's focus on the rotation next....Nova can not be counted on. And, Sabathia is no better.

    Viva La....Revolver !!!!!

    1. Eovaldi wasn't great but he wasn't bad either in his last start. For a 5th starter, both on the team and on the depth chart, that's not bad in my eyes. Yankees have done far more with far less. Remember Denny Neagle?

  2. JAMES SHIELDS...a tough pitcher, who may have a bit left in the tank.
That is my guess, as to whom the Yankees will add to the rotation.
He is better than Sabathia, and most likely better than the1-3 pitcher, they call Ivan Nova.

On Nova...I wish they would trade him off. I think he has reached his high water mark.

The Yanks are showing a concern to hold onto their youth...James Shields I think
would fit in nicely....at a fair price.

Love Refsnyder...let him take root. Time to move Young / Ryan / Drew. Inject youth.

A reloading of this squad, for the final 78+ games....is mandatory.

    1. The problem I have with Shields is how back-loaded his contract is.Well that and pitching in the American League East and inside Yankee Stadium but that's another discussion for another day. I'm going off the top of my head here but I believe Shields' salary goes from like $13 million to $21 million in 2016 and remains above $20 million for the remainder of the contract.

If i'm giving 20 mill to a guy on the wrong side of 30 and the wrong side of his prime I think I may prefer Cole Hamels. Don't let AJ Preller fool you, Shields won't come cheap.

  3. Also curious why you want Nova traded? Everyone knows a pitcher's first season after a TJS is a wash. Velocity will be up and down, command and control will be non-existent at times, etc. It's always the second year removed where you see the fruits of your labor.
