This Day In Yankees History 4/19
On this day in 1949 the Yankees revealed monuments in Monument Park for former Yankees stars Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Miller Huggins. The Yankees held ceremonies in center field on Opening Day in the 1949 season to honor these men.
