This Day In Yankees History 5/22

On this day in 1922 the Yankees, who are currently sharing the Polo Grounds with the New York Giants, begin building the original Yankees Stadium in the Bronx.

On this day in 1962 Roger Maris was intentionally walked four times in one game setting a major league record for a single game. The Yankees would beat the California Angels 2-1 in this game.

On this day in 1999 Roger Clemens breaks the American League record for consecutive wins when he would win his 18th consecutive game. He mixed in ten no decisions in the mix just as an FYI.
