This Day In Yankees History 5/28

On this day in 1939, which started on 5/27/39, Yankees outfielder George Selkirk hit four home runs in four consecutive at bats stretched over two games. The Athletics pitcher Robert Joyce surprisingly allowed all four home runs in the two games.

On this day in 2004 against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays Mariano Rivera notches his 300th career save in a  7-5. Yankees victory. Mo would become only the 17th closer to ever achieve the feat.
