The New York Yankees have announced that they have signed 19 year old pitcher Edwin Fierro out of the Mexican League. Fierro has posted a 3.03 ERA this season in a league that translates to about AA or AAA over here in the states so that is impressive for a 19 year old. The Yankees have a knack for signing people out of the Mexican League, see Manny Banuelos and Alfredo Aceves most recently, so the Yankees may have something here with Fierro. Stay tuned.
