Charleston RiverDogs Host Military Appreciation Night


RiverDogs Second to Last Homestand of the Season Features Final Thirsty Thursday and Military Appreciation Night
Quick three game series packed with fun promos 

CHARLESTON, SC - The Charleston RiverDogs return home to Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park for three games starting Tuesday, the second to last homestand of the season. Charleston welcomes in the West Virginia Power for the second and final time this year. The finale of the three game series will also be the final Thirsty Thursday of 2013 at Riley Park. The RiverDogs are trying to continue their hot play as of late and stay alive in the playoff chase in the South Atlantic League Southern Division.

Tuesday, August 20, 7:05 pm: Healthy Challenge Tuesday / Two-for-$20 Date Night: Each Tuesday the RiverDogs team with MUSC Wellness to promote healthy lifestyle choices. Tuesdays at The Joe feature a healthy menu item and lifestyle tips throughout the game. The new 2-for-$20 Date Night includes two tickets, two slices of pizza, two sodas and one bag of popcorn all for $20. Also, local Italian restaurant La Fontana presents the "Lucky Couple of the Game" as one fortunate pair will be selected at random to win a free and romantic Italian dinner. The restaurant will bring in two specialty dishes and the couple will enjoy that dinner in a singular seating arrangement down the right field line while enjoying the game.
Wednesday, August 21, 7:05 pm: Senior Wednesday / Dogs With a Cause: Charleston 9/11 Heroes Run / Military Appreciation Night: It's another Senior Wednesday presented by AAA Carolinas. All seniors who enter the gates will get a free hot dog, soda and bag of chips (must 65 and older). Show your AAA card at the box office to buy one ticket and get one ticket free. It is also Dogs With a Cause night presented by Charleston 9/11 Heroes Run. Military Appreciation Night presented by General Dynamics gives active and retired military members FREE entrance for themselves and family members by showing Military ID at the box office!
Thursday, August 22, 7:05 pm: Budweiser Thirsty Thursday: Enjoy the best Happy Hour in the Lowcountry for the final time in 2013 as DJ Natty Heavy spins the tunes in the Ashley View Pub with $1 drafts for the always-popular Budweiser Thirsty Thursday presented by 95SX!
