Yankees Among Eight Teams Interested In Johan Santana
The New York Yankees are among eight teams that have showed interest in free agent left handed pitcher Johan Santana. Obviously all these teams are probably only interested in Santana's services on a minor league deal after two torn shoulder capsule surgeries in his left throwing shoulder have probably all but derailed his career. Along with the Yankees are the Mets, Twins, Rays, Orioles, Royals, Brewers, and Pirates bidding on his services.
Santana will throw to showcase for teams in January. Stay tuned.

This is awesome. I've always loved Santana, so it'd be great if the Yankees could get him on a minor league deal. He probably can't start, but he can definitely relieve
ReplyDeleteAll he has to do is teach that changeup to Manny Banuelos and he will be worth every penny
DeleteYou got that right Daniel...
DeleteI have always had my pitchers learn the change-up and curve. They don't interfere as much with the other pitches, like a cutter and slider! A so, so slider goes a long way.
A mid range fastball coupled with a good curve and change-up can let one pitch for a long time..they are much easier on the arm also!
I also thought about the torque on the arm, especially after Man Ban has had Tommy John.
