  1. Is Girardi aware that even a pitcher of Robertson's ability needs a break every now and then?

    1. In all fairness it's not out of the realm of possibility for a closer to pitch an inning for three days in a row. Not just because Mariano could do it either. I would have rather seen Betances there since he only three four or five pitches the night before.

The good thing about baseball is if that home run falls short of the wall nobody says a word about Girardi's bullpen management. Something I admit that I have been very critical of but I don't have a problem with D Rob in that spot either. Not this late in the season.

  2. I know what you're saying, but it's not just 3 days in a row. It seems as though every time I watch a game, I see Warren, Betances, and Robertson pitching. There's 7 guys out there. And most of this season, there's been 8. I see the fatigue in the 3. If you don't trust the other 4, then they have to go. And I'm talking about Huff, Kelly, and Rogers.

  3. He does rely heavily on those big three, and Kelley a lot more recently. Huff has actually pitched well for us surprisingly. Rogers will be a DFA candidate real soon, call it a hunch.
