  1. Your predictions are no better/worse than some of the fans have made.
I do have the feeling there could be a switch in the Starting Pitching Rotation. I'm not sold on C.C., Eovaldi, Capuano doing better than some we already have. Obviously, they will have to be bad, or injured for the Yankees to have one of the farm hands become a starter.
Then we have injuries that are waiting to happen, Pineda and Tank in the rotation and Tex, A-Rod, Headley, and Beltran as players.

With all the injury history these player/pitchers have, trying to predict the line-up from game to game could conceivably be a big FUBAR of epic proportion!
Just my opinion, but I would say, Cashmans signing a lot of back-ups for minor league contracts is no accident.

  2. Of course changes could be made, season doesn't start for four more months. A lot will/can change between now and Spring Training. This is just as it stands today.

    1. No doubt at all Daniel, IF it were to end-up as you say (or think) there is nothing to be gained by any supposition on my part. I have no problem with it at all, as it stands right now!
I believe, many of the signings are insurance for the Questionable health players...you think?

    2. All minor league signings for the Yankees are always insurance and usually high risk high reward.

    3. You done, done it Daniel.
Man-Bam would have been very good in the BP with his nasty curve (or was it the slider) and mid 90s FB...we have players to fill his spot! As far as our BP goes, we have; Rumbelow, Webb, Pazos, and Pinder...amoung just a few others.
What we received for him was more like the deals are suppose to work, everyone came away with what they needed, more so than what was given up!

    4. Except for the Braves, they gave up way too much for Banuelos. They will have to waste at least a season and a half to stretch him out to be a starter. It's like when the Yankees lost two years of control of Michael Pineda due to injuries.

  3. A opinion by me, have fun! LOL
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, BUT, only IF the Yankees stay the course! I hope to see the NEW Yankee way...which is really the old Stick/Watson way.
Bring up, when ready, our own players and surround them with a few 27/33 year old vets...with palatable contracts. Like they did with the Core four + one. Some fans forget just how much Bernie Williams did for this team, without him, there would never have been some of those WS Rings!
Some of the additions were O'Neill, Tino, Boggs, Duncan, Cone, Moose, Clemens, Nelson, and Mendoza!
If one were to check some of the other teams that have won WS Rings, I think many of them did the same thing.
Keep the best of the best we have, bring them up, play them and fill in...where needed...with the Vets! It would be nice to have a couple STARs from the farm, but very good, will get the job done.
It will take a lot of work and a few years, but when done, and done right, it will work out just fine.

    1. Refsnyder looks like he will be here a good two or three seasons before the rest of the big names, I guess that makes him Bernie.

    2. Me thinks, you have hit a HR, with that one! If he can do good enough to stay! Which I think he will, but, don't count Pirela out yet. He may still make it going north with the team...although, with all the players signed lately, it will be a tough haul for him.

In a perfect world we could rightfully have Aaron Judge, Bird, Lindgren and a couple BP pitchers as well as a starter, Up and kicking down the doors this year but, more than likely it will be next year. As for our SS, good to have Didi here as that lets the kids get another year or so better.
