The Yankees opened their Grapefruit League schedule today against the Atlanta Braves and started it off with an impressive 8-3 victory. Robinson Cano hit a two run home run and so did Yankees switch hitting outfield prospect Zoilo Almonte. Almonte also threw out a runner trying to go from first to third on a Freddie Freeman single off of David Phelps. David Phelps final pitching line was 2 IP 3 H 0 ER. The Yankees will play again tomorrow on MLB Network against the Toronto Blue Jays at 1:00 pm ET.
