On this day in 1996 Yankees center fielder Bernie Williams had a week's worth of games in one where he put up two home runs, a single, and eight RBI's in a Yankees victory over the Tigers. A slow day in Yankees history mixed with any reason to put a Bernie Williams post on the blog is the reasoning behind this post.
