Nova's gem leads Yankees to fourth straight win over Braves, 7-0

Ivan Nova threw 6.1 shutout innings and Carlos Beltran hit 2 RBI Singles today as the Yankees won their fourth straight game over the Braves, 7-0. When looking at this performance, it's important that we remember that it came against Atlanta's A-lineup, so yea, it was completely legit. Definitely something to get excited about.

Anyway, some notable offensive performances this afternoon came from Brett Gardner, who went 0-for-1 with three walks, Brian Roberts, who went 1-for-2 with a run, and Alfonso Soriano, who went 1-for-4 with a single. So yea, while there wasn't a ton of notable offense in this W, I guess it was still pretty good. Nova had a rare dominant performance and Beltran, who hasn't been great this spring, hit the ball hard more than once.

  1. NOVA!! This time next year we will be debating whether we should have Nova, Tanaka, or Pineda as our opening day starter. And CC, as much as I love him, (he did play Little League with my cousins in Vallejo CA) will be designated the 4th starter!

    1. He should be knocked down but I can't see it happening. Not something the Yankees usually do, especially when it makes so much sense.

    2. I know. But their logic is the straw that stirs our drink.

  2. I still don't understand the idea that certain players can play until they can't walk anymore! While Bernie, Posada and even our 3rd baseman get benched when they are not producing as they should.
    What is the difference?
