So it seems we could have Major League Baseball games in
Europe as soon as 2019? According to Rob Manfred and the USA Today that is the
plan anyway! How exciting is that?
MLB had hoped to have games at least in London by the 2018
season but that doesn’t seem to be a realistic option at this point. At one
point last season and this winter it was being discussed that the New York
Yankees and the Boston Red Sox would play inside London’s Olympic Stadium but
it seems like there is not enough team for that to be feasibly possible.
Even if it doesn’t happen in 2019 it looks like it will
happen eventually so at least that’s progress. Enjoy the weekend Yankees family…
