The Yankees have announced that they have designated relief pitcher Jim Miller for assignment today making room for Brendan Ryan on the 40 man roster. Kind of a waste of a move since Derek Jeter was only a 60 day DL transfer away from making room for Ryan but what do I know. Miller appeared in one game for the Yanks this season as he was a late season addition to a tired bullpen and now he is seemingly out of the organization.
